Small habits
Three things seasoned travellers do.
Keep copies apart
Carry photocopies of your passport and visa in a different bag from the originals, and a photo of each on your phone.
Break in your shoes
New shoes and long walking days do not mix. Wear them around home for a week before you fly.
Cabin bag first
Medicines, documents, a phone charger and one change of clothes go in the cabin bag, in case checked luggage is delayed.
